HELP!!!!! Please
I use Windows XP Pro on my system. well I've been away
for a few months and in the time I've been gone I've managed to forget my user log on password. The only one I can go under is guest. It will not let me reset the password unless I'm logged on under admins. If anyone could help me get around this it would be a great help. Thanks. Jaymz |

HELP!!!!! Please
Jaymz;
http://support.microsoft.com/default...b;EN-US;321305 Or Reboot to Safe Mode, select Administrator, leave password blank. Then go to User Accounts in Control Panel. Select the user and change the password. If you are using Windows XP Pro and have encrypted data, you may permanently lose access to the encrypted data. Here are other options: http://www.wininternals.com/products...very/index.asp http://www.sunbelt-software.com/prod...&affid=wxpnews After this is resolved, take precautions to not lose the password. -- Jupiter Jones [MVP] An easier way to read newsgroup messages: http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/p...oups/setup.asp Please respond to newsgroup only for everyone's benefit.
