Default No access to files, even with admin acc.

-----Original Message-----
Hi!

Win Xp-pro crashed when I tried to move the whole

harddrive
(C to a new one(Fwith Diskmanager. I was lucky that
almost all the files had been copied to the new harddrive
(F. But neither of the hardrives OS seemed to work
properly. So I installed XP on the old harddrive(C

again
and tried to access the new one(F to recover important
files. Yes it worked as long as I tried to copy files

that
was not in the "My Documents"-folder.
I says "Access to .... denied"

I've tried this article, but it didn't help:
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-
us;308421

Yes, the box that earlier was selected "Write protected"
had now been unselected. But still the same problem when

I
try to open(read)/write/copy the files in "My Documents"

I'm admin. I have not tried to start up in Safe-mode yet
because it seems that it would only solve anything in the
Home-edition.

Any ideas?
I would be really grateful any help.
.

I have same/similar problem-C: failed, stoped @hp logo
screen in boot sequence. Any attempt to correct problem
on C: futile. Replaced C: w/ new HD, reloaded OpSys&
applications, moved old C: to F:. All works fine now can
access any file on F: but I also can't read/copy/move any
thing from My Documents on F:

When you get a solution, let me know, I'll reciprocate if
I get one. Thanks
