Default how to fix explorer

For some reason I either missed it or it was a victim of the last virus attack.

Someone posted a help on how to set explorer to open to a different folder
other than %SystemRoot%\explorer.exe

Could someone repost the howto on that ?

I had a brainstorm and entered '%SystemRoot%\explorer.exe' into the M$ search
bar, and it came back with '%SystemRoot%\explorer.exe /root, c:\

aha, but yours works better. Note. The comma is the difference between it
working and not working.

I've been rebuilding the thing all day. Something real nasty got to my machine.
Took and grabbed 100% of everything. Couldn't run anything. tried Adaware, but
it just locked and froze.
All it did was USE resources. I suspect it was computing Pi to the nth digit.

Here is what I use - you might try it out and see how you like it.

%systemroot%\explorer.exe /e,::{20D04FE0-3AEA-1069-A2D8-08002B30309D}

%systemroot%\explorer.exe /e, C:\temp
I use the above for virus and security reasons. Everything goes into this
folder before it goes anywhere else.
If it weren't for this folder, I'd probably never access the drives.

Cept for Trend sending out that pattern file Friday that did more damage than
any virus, I've kept the machine fairly clean.
