Default Adding new drive, problems doing XP image copy from orig. drive

Johnny Armstrong wrote:
Hi-

I am installing a new drive into an XP machine for a
friend. The HD installation disk will not let me do an
image copy of XP off the old drive to the new one and
suggests that I put the XP installation CD in and reboot
to set it up. I tried this and the options were a little
confusing.. don't really want to mess up his new drive /
and or current XP installation. Does anyone have a quick
list of instructions on how to do this? Could not find
anything in knowledge bases. Please send to
(if newsgroup does not automatically).
Thank you so much!

Johnny

Check the hard drive manufacturers web site for updated software for XP.
Check the link below for more options.
Maxblast Plus versions 1.30 and newer provide an image copy utility that
will allow you to copy all the information from one hard drive to another
drive. The software currently supports FAT16, FAT32, and NTFS partitions.
