Greetings Christi,

I assume you're using Windows Messenger 4.7? If so, yes, this option doesn't actually turn
off. To really turn them off, you'll simply need to deactivate the MSN Add-In. To do so,
open up the main Messenger window, click the Tools menu, then Add-Ins, then click MSN.
