Default MSN Messenger buddies online or not problem

I have msn messenger 4.7 on my Windows XP Pro machine. I
have noticed that you can't tell who is on. Before the
buddy icons use to be in red if they were not online and
green if someone was online. But now all of the buddies
on the list are green. I have to manually double click on
the buddies to see if I get a messenger window indicating
I can chat with them.

I don't understand why Microsoft takes away features that
make sense to being annoying. Anyone know how to fix this
annoying problem.

Thanks,
-WB

Greetings WB,

Microsoft did not take out this feature. Have you updated your video drivers recently (from
WindowsUpdate)? If so, what you're seeing is a bug within those drivers, to correct this,
you can either "roll back" the drivers you installed or install an old version of the drivers
from he

To "roll back" the drivers, click Start, then Run, type "devmgmt.msc", click OK, then
right-click your video card, choose Properties, then Driver tab, and choose Roll Back Driver
to go back to the previous version.
