Default tcp/ip Problem with Dial-up connection in WindowsXP

Hi everyone,
I've got a machine that, when on our network, finds the internet and works
fine.
However, when I try to use the dial-up connection, it cannot get in. Modem
dials and connects to remote server but keep getting Error 720...

I have remove and recreated the connections several times. Have tried
different ISPs just in case it was the server.

Any ideas as to how to fix this.
Thanks,
Elli

quoted from http://www.ChicagoTech.net
Error 720: No PPP control protocols configured.

Resolution:
1) make sure both RAS server and client have the correct protocol setup.
2) make sure the NetBIOS interface has being installed and the NetBIOS
binding has being enabled. The NetBIOS interface is required for
establishing logical names and sessions on the network for Windows NT/9x/ME.
