Default Acronis Rescue Media

Yesterday I made a change in the XP registry,(changed the drive letter)backed it up before the change.Rebooted the computer, but I wasn't able to log in.Windows will advance up tp a point and stop right before the log on screen.
I used the "Acronis BootableRescue Media"which was made a few hours earlier.Same thing no help at all.
I couldn't log into safe mode either.Any ideas?.BTW,I did a fresh installation,

What do you mean "I did a fresh installation"? What is a 'fresh
installation"? You did this 'fresh installation' when?

If your computer has a floppy drive boot the machine with a Windows 9x
startup diskette and issue the FDISK /MBR. If the machine doesn't have
a floppy drive you need to remotely access the registry and undo the
drive letter changes that you made earlier, read he
