Dark mode for File explorer looks awful,I gave it about 2 seconds before
switching back to light mode. Why on earth would the Screen Snip *not* have a window selection mode? HDR/WCG my screen seems to be supported, but why no material to showcase it? Cloud clipboard? Hmmm maybe ... Looks like I'll have to be content with seeing the battery level of my bluetooth mouse |

Rene, You are showing signs of your dementia. Microsoft did announce that the old snip tool is to be replaced with a new one. For their blog, which I posted earlier, is at this link: https://blogs.windows.com/windowsexperience/2018/05/03/announcing-windows-10-insider-preview-build-17661/#8xbvP8vMO0lF20AM.97 The new snip tool is the best ever free screenshot tool around. There is no need for any 3rd party, virus infected, tool. Just use Microsoft tools until the last days of your life on this planet. Good luck. You'll need it! In this latest transmogrification of Windows10 I found the "Snip" thing in.... Settings/Ease of Access/ [type "Snip" into search field] and the toggle appears at the BOTTOM of the page. Then one can access SNIP via the "Print Screen" button. I have survived to tell thee! .. |

Now you've told me there are two snipping tools, I've found the new one - and it is quite useful. However, there's nothing else of any use to me (I can't think that they would be to anyone else either) so I've spent a couple of hours putting all my font customisations etc back to where they were before the update for no good reason at all - as usual. The new snipping tool could have been added as an app update - so what a total waste of time the new update was. This time I've used ready made tools to customise my settings and they have backup facilities - so maybe next time I'll just have to restore the backups. Come back the old update system - all is forgiven. -- Tetbury, Gloucestershire, England Two silk worms had a race. They ended up in a tie. |
