My system just updated to Ver 1809 build 17763.55 with kb4464330 cumulative.
Am I reading this properly as meaning this is the fix for the missing
files dilemma in 1809-17763.1.? Which by the way did not affect my system.

From my reading, it seems to be issues with Pictures,Music,Docs folders
not being in the 'standard' place in the home folder. This means that
a vast majority are not effected.

They turned the Upgrade back on yesterday. I left the machine
running, thinking I was "safe" to allow a 17134.xxx setup
to be there the next morning. When I got up, it was running
17763. I think I'd just finished repair installing it,
so there should have been a Windows.old to block 17763.
Guess not.

If an Upgrade comes in via Windows Update, I take it the
GPEdit policy causing the fuss was modified.

If a person lost their files, the "fix" you refer to, wouldn't
bring the files back. The "fix" is the addition of extra grease
so they can turn the Upgrade back on.

I rolled back my OS from 17763 to 17134, because I wasn't
particularly amused by this. When I set up a test case, I
want the test case to last long enough so I can test
something. I spent *hours* on this crap for nothing - I
can't be flogging the network cable to keep them out all
the time. Sometimes I have to have the network connected
to actually run a test case.

All computer users were effected by their mother.
