Windows xp startup problem.
Hey all, my gfriend has got an nec laptop and a pb desktop
both running xp home. The laptop went on the blink last week. It boots into safe mode fine but if you do a normal boot it gets to the loading windows xp screen and it just sits there. The green bar still moves but the longest we waited was half an hour before we got sick of waiting. Anyhoo we got the laptop swapped at my work and now her desktop pc is doing the same thing. Have scanned for viruses but nothing was found. Any help would be muchly appreciated. - Gary |

Sounds like a hardware problem. Check all installed hardware for missing
drivers (or try updating the drivers for the hardware. "Gary" wrote in message ... Hey all, my gfriend has got an nec laptop and a pb desktop both running xp home.
