Local or MS account?

In terms of safety, I read MS account login is better if you forget
password, but in terms of remote hacking, which is safer? I would not
recommend MS account login because it gives access to many apps, including
Windows Store. I thought it would be possible someone outside our system buy
apps on Windows Store and we were receiving the bills. Never happened with
me but I believe there are people who doesn't trust completely in Windows
8x.

So, which do you think is better on Windows 8x login, local or MS account?

Okay let me ask this: Someone somehow gets your ID and password. And
then goes to the store to buy something. How do they pay for it? If
you don't have a credit card applied to that login, and I know I don't,
how do you get billed for it? What they send you an invoice in the
postal service?

I'm not the least bit worried. I like the simplicity that the whole
product works without jumping through hoops. And 10 isn't going to
change this I would venture to guess.

The problem is if you had "bought" anything from the store, then the
store has you credit card. If anyone uses your id to buy something
from the store, then the credit card is billed.

The thing is not to get anything from the win store, even the "free"
apps. If m$ did the same thing as crapple, then even the "free" app
required a credit card as when I did that. That's the problem with
apps getting people (usually kids) buying stuff inside the "free" app
that has advertising that allows "in app purchase".

Security is getting "bitcher".....I do buy ebooks online (how else?)
& use now as Barnes & Noble stopped allowing downloading of the
purchased ebooks onto my computer for "disinfection" of drm which
is tied to a reader app instead of a device as claimed.

Am on win 8.1.1 because of what I thought m$'s win7 did an overkill
of security. Even doing a "dir" had me waiting for security clearance;
same with going to a sub-sub directory on another drive. Also was
waiting for security clearance doing a right-click to get a context
menu of a folder/app.......Must say the security clearance "usually"
happens needed happens just on the 1st time doing something on an
folder, directory, or app during a computer session; I shutdown the
computer when not being used & so boot up several times a day; I
don't see having the computer running when away from home, watching
TV or reading.

Problem is that win8.1.1 is only a little better as I re-install the
apps because of the windows use of registery; my data are on different
drives..
