Default help with .net framework reinstall frm scratch XP PRO SP3

XP PRO SP3

for a long while now i have been ignoring a somehow corrupted .net framework
installed on my system and im now trying to resolve things. i have
uninstalled everything from 3.5 -1.0 and all sp's pertaining. i really dont
want to have to go through this process over n over again..obviously, so what
i would like to know is exactly each and every .net framework version is
needed/recomended for my system and in exactly what order they are to be
installed in to avoid any pitfalls. i thought it was a simple as starting
with 1.0 and just working on up the ladder but iv failed in my recent
attempts so would someone here plz help me out..it would be greatly
appreciated!

i am aware of Aaron Stebner's insanely infomative site but i wasnt able to
find the exact info im looking for pertaining to basic installation of the
..net framework.

MUCH THNX!
