Default no COM port for my modem

I got an Acer tablet PC. ALl worls fine except for the
modem. I can't get a dialtone (the phone does work).

When I see the devices, there is only 1 Com defined:
Bluetooth Communications Port (COM 6).

Shouldn't the one for the modem as well?

Thanks,

Lawrence

Hello

Well since you had and you know that the modem has
not been working have you tried calling T.Support or
Acer about the defective modem to have it repaired.

The modem shouldn't show up under Ports, but there should be an entry under
Modems.

Make sure it's enabled in the bios.
