If you are trying to use the mic built in the camera, then that is your
problem. Make sure you have a mic that is plugged into your sound card and
that your sound system is configured correctly and it is the one selected
when running the Wizard. If you do not know how to do that then repost and
someone will give you directions.

Double click the little sound icon and then select Options/Properties and
make sure the microphone is NOT selected in the Playback mode, but IS
selected in the Recording mode, then give the Wizard a try, it should now
work.

I believe you mentioned the same thing to me. You are giving out bad
information. Well, he says " XP Pro". Maybe there is a problem with
"Pro", but not "XP Home" version. Logitech webcams with built-in
microphones plugged into a USB port work just fine with Windows XP
Home version.

As a new user of MSN Messenger, I too could not connect voice with a
friend. We had done it successfully with yahoo Messenger, so what was
the problem? We tired last Fri, sat, Sun, and Tues I think.
"Connecting with Donald", but never connected.

Tried it today. Friday 2-13.. One last try. Voice channel connected.
Quite quickly, I might add.

** The voice channel, or the voice server, or something, was just
down. Not working . And only a few people noticed it...

BS. I've got several desktops and laptops in many
different locals w/ the logitech camera/mic and they work
fine... except for one location - same setup as everywhere
else, but no audio with or without external mic.

There are bugs in the Messenger program period.
