Cannot Obtain Address From DHCP
Hi, The problem I have is that my notebook (running XP) cannot get an ip address from the dhcp in my work place. It was working fine when I updated the windows. At home I use the built-in modem (no problems with that). My notebook has a Xircom Realport PCMCIA NIC. Both lights are on; link is amber (meaning it is at 100Mbps) activity is green and blinks But the Local Area Connection in the task bar has a moving white dot (meaning it is obtaining address from DHCP) but nothing happends even after 1 hour. Help needed here??? -- jspbro ------------------------------------------------------------------------ jspbro's Profile: http://www.msusenet.com/member.php?userid=601 View this thread: http://www.msusenet.com/t-1869434504 |

Could your workplace be using static IP addresses rather than DHCP?
