Default Messenger audio

I hve Windows XP Home. I have just gone to DSL (Cisco 678
modem). I can no longer do audio on Messenger w/ the DSL.
If I go to a Dial Up connection Messenger audio works. My
ISP has set Messenger Port as 1836, but to no avail. Is
there different settings required.

Are you using the modem behind any type of network device? Such as a router,
another computer... If you are, then the other person has to initiate voice-
you can't, because you're behind a NAT device. It is documented at
messenger.msn.com.
