Can't Play DVDs
I upgraded my computer recently, as it was getting kind of old and slow. See
components list below if needed. After the upgrade, I re-installed XP with SP3. I am also running all the latest updates, firmware, drivers, BIOS, etc... Now I can't watch DVDs. I have a Plextor DVD Burner which came with Roxio DVD player so that I can decode the DVD format. I usually only install Roxio for the Codecs, and then use Windows Media Player to play my DVDs. But after installing Roxio and trying to play a DVD (using any program) I get an error code saying "The instruction at '0x7c910efe' referenced memory at '0x736f7263'. The memory could not be 'read'." I've also had 0x7c9108d3 at 0x736f7263 could not be written. I have run a system repair, updated everything, uninstalled and reinstalled Roxio. Tried other programs such as quick time and windows media player. Nothing works.
