cell phone message take 4 hours?
I just set-up my profile to accept cell phone text messages. Problem is,
these messages take 4 hours for the cell phone to receive. The bottleneck can't be my cell provider because if I use the same address in something like OE using my ISP account, the message is received on my cell in a split second. Messenger --- cell phone text messaging certainly isn't the most efficient way to send a message. Am I doing something wrong or is the bottleneck at the MS end? Thanks, Dave |

cell phone message take 4 hours?
Greetings Dave,
Do you happen to be using Rogers AT&T? If so, this is a known issue. Unfortunately at the moment, both MSN and Rogers point fingers at each other -- since all the other canadian providers (Telus, Bell, Fido, etc.) don't have the problem, it does seem to be related to Rogers. ____________________________________________ Jonathan Kay Windows MVP, Messenger Associate Expert http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/expertzone/ Messenger Resources - http://messenger.jonathankay.com "David Shorthouse" wrote in message a... Jonathan,
I do indeed use Rogers AT&T, so I guess that's the issue. Thanks for the reply. Dave Greetings Dave, Do you happen to be using Rogers AT&T? If so, this is a known issue.
