how to uninstall "walladay"
I followed directions given on a site from a link from NEPATSFAN. I thought
it was the answer to my black screen, but it isn't. I turned off walladay according to the directions, but it keeps coming back. How do I get rid of it w/o deleting snapshot? -- "You can have everything in life you want, if you will just help enough other people get what they want." -- Zig Ziglar |

how to uninstall "walladay"
Sorry to hear that you're still dealing with this issue.
So, was there an icon in the notification area for this program? When you followed the directions on the web site, what exactly happened? In your earlier post you mentioned how your husband installed the Generations software. Did you try to turn off the walladay program while logged on with his account or yours? Just out of curiosity, log on with his account and see if you can follow the procedure documented on that web site and see what happens. Also, at the same time, go to Start - All Programs - Startup and see if there's anything listed there that could be related to this walladay program. If you're unable to turn if off from inside the program, you may have to try the following: Go to Start - Run and type msconfig in the "Open" box. Click OK. Once the System Configuration utility launches select the Startup tab. You'll see a bar | separating the Command and Location sections. Double click on it so you can see all of the information listed. In the Command section, look for a line for C:\Windows\Walladay.exe. Remove the check mark next to it. Click OK. Click the Restart button in the box that pops up. When your PC starts up again you're going to see a box with a reference to "diagnostic mode". Simply check "Don't show me this again" and click OK. If you don't see walladay listed, post back with what is listed under the "Startup Item" column. It's possible that it's listed as something else. Keep us posted on your progress. how to uninstall "walladay"
Thanks Mary, but that is the site I got the instructions from. It says left
click on the icon and select "turn off". I did that. The site says that will eliminate the problem and take walladay out of the start up. It didn't in my case. The next day, and every day since then, IT'S BACK! Got any other suggestions? Thanks again for your help. The icon was hidden, and my husband showed me
how to find it. When I followed the instructions, the problem went away for 1 day. We did the procedure on both accounts. The next day the icon was back and so was the problem. I just followed your directions to the startup menu, and deleted the program. If this doesn't work, I'll go through your whole instructions and try that. Thanks again and again, & Happy New Year "Nepatsfan" wrote: Sorry to hear that you're still dealing with this issue. So, was there an icon in the notification area for this program?
