Default MSN Messenger 6 & win xp = video ok NO AUDIO

i'm trying to see and hear someone using msn messenger 6, but we have video
but no audio at all = specs


me=
msn messneger 6 latest
- audio & video setup done with msn messenger = ok
win xp pro latest
boradband cable
NIC built into mobo
no routers etc just 1 comupter
no firewalls, win xp firewal turned off

other person i'm connection to=

msn messneger 6 latest
- audio & video setup done with msn messenger = ok
win xp pro latest
dialup modem
no routers etc just 1 comupter
no firewalls, win xp firewal turned off



like i said we have video but noe audio, also i noticed that video is slow
compared to older messenger 4 or 5 and netmeeting.

Can we use netmeeting instaed of messenger or does that not work in win xp,
and can i call him directly with netmeeting theu his ip ????

thanks messenger guru's !

Did you try start Video Conference

All so you mite try disabling QoS packet Scheduler under Local area
connection
properties

Post back and let me know how you get on

yes i tired video, then webcam, then just audio, = no go

don't have qos option = only 1 computer = no routers or network
