CD ROM wont read disk

Default CD ROM wont read disk

when i try and put a disk into the D: drive the drive will not respond i have
to press the open buttons a few times before it will open...then the little
green LED just flashes, its been like this since i formated my hard drive and
i cant instal drivers because they are on the CD

Default CD ROM wont read disk

You can typically download drivers from the manufacturers site (or elsewhere
on the internet) but try removing the CD in device manager, reboot and let
windows reinstall. Also, if you also have a CD-R and have installed Roxio
or Nero these programs can sometimes cause conflicts and may need to be
uninstalled until you get the drive working properly.

the cd rom has no manufacturer on it, it just says dvd rom on the front, we
bought it with the pc and the PC is from japan or sumthing its realy
frustrating the model is ....tsunomi capricorn and it has a Asus X series
motherboard.

I know tsunami capricorn manufactures computer cases but I don't know about
optical drives. You can download Everest Home Edition freeware diagnostic
software and gain information on the drive and look over other aspects of
your system.
