USB device not recognized SOLVED!!!
Like some of you i was getting the usb not recognized. tried rolling back
the system, removing usb in device manager etc., etc. finally found an article on the web that said to remove usb connections from device mgr. then turn off computer... yeah we've all done that but the important next step is to UNPLUG YOUR COMPUTER FOR A FEW MINUTES. Beleive it or not, it worked for me. what an idiot i felt like after struggling for 3 days on this. glad i didn't reformat my hard drive like some people have tried to do with no luck. btw, if you have the problem with a laptop, you need to take the battery out too. apparently, it has something to do with powering down the mother board. Good luck and hope this helps some of you. NO THANKS TO MICROSOFT OR SONY TECH SUPPORT. can't beleive it is so simple. |
