Aggressive programs can "override" the changes Autoruns make, so even if you correct a situation with Autoruns, the problem can come back. Autoruns is not a "policeman", it's a "screwdriver for making adjustments". The modern versions of Sysinternals programs, no longer necessarily work on WinXP. If you have a WinXP system, you'll need to use archive.org to find an older version, and that's not going to be all that easy to do.
