Default HP Deskjet 3325 printer is very slow

I have a newest driver in my Hp Deskjet 3325. Still it doesn´t print. The printer is about 6 months old (!). If it wakes up, the printer is slow and prints "what ever". The reason why I bought this printer, is the fact, that it was "cheaper than colours"!
Earlier I´ve had several Epson printers, and it´happened same way. A printer collapses usually after 1 year of use (or less!). So, after 10 years I have been used some 30-40 printers! I opened one of my Epson printers. Maybe the reason is always in the
"soft side". I have Windows XP Pro.
