error code 1601, solution didnt work
THank you for your reply, but unfortunatly that didnt
work. You told me to type the following into RUN: %systemroot%\system32\dllcache\msiexec.exe /regserver This error message came up. Windows cannot find 'C:\WINDOWS\system32 \dllcache\msiexec.exe'. MAke sure you typed name correctly, and then try again. To search for a file, click the start button, and then click search. I also have been having problem with an error message popping up at start up after i log in, it says. Application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000005). Click on OK to terminate the application. I think that might have something to do with it but i dont know. Thank you for your help. |

Hi Bryant,
Try %systemroot%\system32\msiexec.exe /regserver instead. Unfortunately, the message you have seen could practically be from anything. ____________________________________________ Jonathan Kay Microsoft MVP - Windows Messenger/MSN Messenger Associate Expert http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/expertzone/ Messenger Resources - http://messenger.jonathankay.com "Bryant" wrote in message ...
