I have the same problem where the captures video is jagged and jumpy.
Am new at this, could it be because I capture with a USB2 port ?
Have a brand new computer and asked the sales dude if I could capture
and burn dvd's
How can I find out if I have a firewire port ?
Excuse my ingnorance.

LeoTheBuilder, well, not knowing anything about your gear, I would only say it's not very likely your computer automatically has an IEEE 1394 ("Firewire") port; most people have to get a special card installed for that. But, it is quite likely your camcord
er would have that port, though. However, me-thinks you would be aware of that certainly on your camcorder. If you do have IEEE 1394 on your camcorder, by all means, transfer everything through that.
