Default System Restore Points

We have a custom application that runs on Windows XP. Would would like to use
the Restore Point feature of the operating system for our field service
personnel. Is it possible to edit the Filelist.xml file to add the
appropriate file extensions for our application so it can be monitored by the
Restore Point feature of the OS?

I did not find much information on the MSDN web site about the list other
than the actual list of files that are contained in the file.

Thanks
Stephen Funari

Hi Stephen,

I have not attempted to edit Filelist.xml, but MS advises against it.

Thanks for responding back Bert,

Do you know the reasoning behind the answer from them?

Thanks, Steve

Hi Steve,

No, they don't say. It would take some testing to fine out for sure.
