My account can't receive messages
I can login to my MSN and see my contacts. My contacts are able to see me as
well. I can send out messages, but cannot receive any. 2 cases: 1) I can initiate a conversation and my contacts are able to reply, but only for a short while. After a few min, I'm unable to receive any new messages from them. 2)My contacts try to initiate conversations with me, but couldn't send me anything. They would have the message saying "The following message could not be delivered to all recipients". I've tried to login using different versions of MSN/Windows Live Messenger (even web messenger) on different computers, but same thing happened. I tried turning my firewall off, but no difference. I registered for another account, and that works fine. So I'm thinking the problem is w/ my account, if so, then i don' t know what i can do to fix it. Can anyone help? |

My account can't receive messages
I have a friend who's got the exact same problem as you.
If i find a solution i'll post it here. I have a feeling that MSN damaged some profiles. For my friend we tried turning off the xp firewall. Then we tried to log on to my computer We also tried to use amsn - an open source msn clone. So let me know if you find something. Thanks Boee wrote: I can login to my MSN and see my contacts. You do not realize how dependant you are on this tool until it does not do what it is supposed to do. I have posted this question on another community board. If you get a solution or response before I do...please let me know too... Thanks |

Any solution
I am having exactly the same problem!!! I have tried everything I can think
off, I thought it had to do with running XP Media Center. (New computer) I am going to try a new account but that really is not ideal! If anyone finds a solution please post |

No idea as of yet.
It did indeed start on January 18th. My friend has had to create another hotmail account to receive messages. Here are her/his Mr. X 's symptoms 1. Logs on, shows online (to Mr. X) 2. Mr. X can send messages to a user Y, and there's no guarantee that all of Y's replies will return 3. Mr. X suddenly shows offline to everyone else. but Mr. X remains online to his/her knowledge 4. Anyone who tries to message Mr. X either gets - the user is offline (on amsn) or "the message could not be delivered to all recipients" (on msn messenger) I have had Mr. X contact support at msn. Thanks catalmco wrote: I am having exactly the same problem!!! I have tried everything I can think off, I thought it had to do with running XP Media Center. Any solution
Hi,
I sent an email for support but have not heard anything back. I did create a new account but then in the process tried to just change the email address associated with my old account to a new one. (Before moving all of my IM addresses to the new account) and that solved the problem. So I still have everything from my old account (settings, IM addresses) but associated to a different email and therefore a different login. After that I only saw people who were live that signed in after I did the change, by this morning it was working well and I have been receiving IMs today. Not sure if it will last!!! As I do not know what the problem was/is. " wrote: No idea as of yet. It did indeed start on January 18th. My friend has had to create another hotmail account to receive messages.
