"Network Cable Unplugged"
I have two XP Pro machines. My new one has two intigrated network
cards. One is connected to my cable modem and the other is connected with a crossover cable to my old computer. I have about 40GBs of info on the old computer i want to transfer over and i thought networking them together would be a lot easier then taking the hard drive out and putting it in the new comp. So i run the network wiz on both machines and it seems like everything is ok but as soon as i start transfering files from the old to the new i get this error from the task bar "Network Cable Unplugged" obviously it is plugged in because i just transfered a few files over. it seems to jump in and out of being connected. It is very frustrating and all i want to do is get files transfered and then give the old computer to my mom. help!!! thanks in advance, randy |
