"Network Cable is Unpluged"
Miked, I discovered an article that may help. If solved
my problem. You need to uncheck the power management box for your network adapter. This link explained the process. http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx? scid=kb;en-us;811595 I hope this helps. -----Original Message----- I also have the same problem. My computer is connected to Comcast Broadband Cable through a Linksys BEFSR81 Cable Router and I have a admtek an983 based ethernet adapter. I am using XP Home also. My local area connection frequently disconnects and then reconnects, sometimes giving me internet access and other times not. My computer is the only computer connected to the router and modem. In Network Connections it shows to devices, (1) the Admtek An983 Based ethernet adapter and (2)WAN Network driver. Could these devices be conflicting with one another. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. -----Original Message----- I conect to my internet through a router wich is conected to the modem (obviously). No Home network is installed. I brought my computer to a collage that uses a network. When i brought my computer back home, I know get this error saying a network cable is unpluged. My conection is interupted then goes right back up just to get that error again. I tried reinstalling my Network device, that did not help. Ah! Help! What can i do to solve this!? Thanks in advance. I am running Win XP Pro with a D-Link DFE 530TX+ Network Device and a D-Link DI-604E Router with 2 other computer conected to the router. . . |
