Intellipoint drivers are not for keyboards. These are mainly for Microsoft mice. Do you have a Microsoft mouse? Also, since this installer constantly starts up automatically, you seem to have a problem with built-in Windows Installer system. Locate, download and install the Windows Installer Cleaner "tool." Then, carefully locate the Intellipoint software entries and remove them. Then, head over to Microsoft and from the "Hardware" pages, download the mouse Intellipoint drivers. Install these and then uninstall them. This should correct your problem. |

There are normally 2 PS/2 ports. One is for the mouse and the second is for keyboards. The same thing is to be done for cleaning up a Microsoft keyboard software issue. Intellipoint is for the mice and Intellitype is for the keyboards. |

Uninstall Intellipoint / Intellitype software from Add or Remove Programs. Then, reboot and XP should let the "standard" XP drivers configure your mouse / keyboard. Then, check to see if the Intellipoint setup starts up again. If yes, check with the Windows Installer Cleanup tool (from Microsoft's Office web site.) Once the Intellipoint software setup does not restart, head over to Microsoft's hardware web site and download the latest Intellipoint (7.0) drivers. |
