computer locking up on restart (( HELP!))
See http://www.aumha.org/a/shutdown.htm for some very good information on
troubleshooting Shutdown/restart problems. -- Doug Knox, MS-MVP Windows XP/ Windows Smart Display Win 95/98/Me/XP Tweaks and Fixes http://www.dougknox.com -------------------------------- Associate Expert ExpertZone - http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/expertzone -------------------------------- Please reply only to the newsgroup so all may benefit. Unsolicited e-mail is not answered. "VMS Tech" wrote in message ... I have a brand new computer fresh out of the shop, it has Windows XP Home installed on it. Every time I restart the computer (Just restart).... It locks-up on a shut down screen, I can't move the mouse. It just sits there on the "Windows is shutting down" screen. It seems like it happens when it wants to, like 1 out of 3 times or so. Any help would be nice. Also I DON'T want to take to back to the shop, I want to try and fix this. Thanks |
