It can be adjusted pretty much the way you like. I would stay away from 2011. Thunderbird is okay if you like it. Ted |

The closest approximation of OE 6 that I have found is Thunderbird 2. -- Crash "Facts are stubborn things, but statistics are more pliable." ~ Laurence J. Peter ~ |

It seems more simple and basic email program for a 64 bit plaform. |

Then you won't inflict WLM on everyone else - please stick to Agent for the newsgroups. -- Gynaecologist - a man who can redecorate his hallway through the letterbox. |

There's Windows Live Mail, but I hear that it's awful, and if you try to use it in newsgroups you will get a lot of grief. FWIW, when I got a 64-bit Windows 7 computer, I switched to Thunderbird because Pegasus is not compatible (despite a statement on the Web site). Thunderbird isn't perfect, but what is? And it's a lot easier to use than Pegasus. -- Stan Brown, Oak Road Systems, Tompkins County, New York, USA http://OakRoadSystems.com Shikata ga nai... |

Before Unicode I always used Eudora. Opera have an usb version so that no installation is needed: http://www.opera-usb.com/ Just unpack and run. Best regards Asger-P |

I tried Thunderbird & did not like it. I got used to WLM2009 (under XP), it
does what I want. I'm not so fond of some of the changes that came in with WLM 2011. Now I'm having fits over Win7, way more fits over things like "access denied" all the time, than WLM (either version) ever gave me. bj "Bob Hatch" wrote in message b.com... Yes, I agree entirely with the assessment of WLM, which I used for a total of a week when I got Windows 7. I switched to Thunderbird for email and news groups and currently am fairly satisfied. -- James Silverton, Potomac I'm "not" |
