How Do Get Rid Of "Consumers-Feedback.org"?
This program keeps popping up on many of the web pages I visit.
"Consumers-Feedback.org" is annoying, but I can't seem to get rid of it. I'm using WinXP-3 & Firefox. Any hints? |

You must have a malware of some kind on your system. However, what you can do now is to block that domain permanently by entering this in your hosts file: 127.0.0.1 Consumers-Feedback.org 127.0.0.1 www.Consumers-Feedback.org |

The other suggestions you got are great advice. But I'd recommend getting a copy of Spybot SD (free). Run it. You probably have spyware on your system. Spybot should clean it up. Also be sure you dont have any of the many addon toolbars installed. Those damn things are in much of the software you download and can be gotten in many other ways. You could also try to disable Java Script, then go to one of the sites that is causing this annoyance to appear. If it's stops, it's loaded by scripts. |
