Please help!!

Is there any way to retrieve an item deleted, and then
emptying my garbage can?

I should have paid more attention when I emptied my trash
can and sent those messages into outer space!!

The message was received sometime in November, 2003. I've
looked through all the help sections and tool bars to no
avail.

Thanks for any help you folks can give me.
