dllhost.exe do we need this file?
Do you know what is the use of dllhost.exe file? I didn't have this process
on Windows Task Manager. If I do end process, it starts again each time I click on link. Can I delete this file or it belongs to system? Goodbye. |

I recommend not deleting anything in the system32 or syswow64 directories, *especially* if you don't know what they do. http://www.google.com/#q=what+is+dllhost.exe -- I'm the green man. |

Thank you, Auric. In fact I don't know what it does. I've searched with help of Google and found lots of opinions. |

If it wasn't loaded then why are you asking about it? You sure you configured Task Manager to show tasks from ALL users? Something instigated you to ask about this file ... and that was what? If I do end process, it starts again each time I click on link. Oh, so it *is* showing up in Task Manager. Whatever process is using this surrogate process is still running or gets ran again and it still uses the surrogate to run something untrusted or in parallel outside of its own process. Can I delete this file or it belongs to system? Never delete any file that you have no clue what it is for. This is a system file. That doesn't mean the dllhost.exe you are asking about is the one included with Windows. A file can have any name. You never mentioned WHERE is this file. You never mentioned updating your anti-virus software and performing a full scan. |

Anyway, it looks like it saved the OP from himself - as it was designed to do. |
