Actually - proplus.msi is an office file - not windows. Try installing
office CD at this point - not windows co. have fun Kaypee "Aaron S." wrote in message ... hey, im trying to open a *.wps file that just has text in it, which i hear is a works file. Sometimes you have to poke around and try selecting different folders. When
you get the right one, the proplus.msi file should be visible. Select the folder, not the file. Click OK. -- Sharon F Microsoft MVP, Windows - Shell/User Aaron S. wrote: yeah i put the office xp cd in teh drive and it said it couldnt find the right files... "Kaypee" wrote in message ... hmmm. yeah, but the actual proplus file is just in the core directory. i
browse to it and select the actual file in the install program as well. is it somewhere else on the cd as well? "Sharon F" wrote in message ... Aaron, I've never been able to select the file directly when faced with a
similar prompt and have it install successfully. I've had to backtrack to select the folder the file resides in. If it's the root folder (core directory as you call it), then I would select the drive's letter and leave it at that. Another way to tackle this problem would be to run setup again. Use the Add/Remove Components option from the setup screen. Drill down to convertors and filters and select them to be added to your Office installation. -- Sharon F Microsoft MVP, Windows - Shell/User Aaron S. wrote: hmmm. yeah, but the actual proplus file is just in the core directory. i browse to it and select the actual file in the install program as well. is it somewhere else on the cd as well?
