File Explorer left pane
Hello. Would anyone here know if there are any registry tweaks I can do
to make File Explorer's left pane only feature the folders that come under This PC (Documents, Videos, Downloads, Pictures, Music, Local Disk and pendrives), in other words no onedrive or quick access. I'd just like to de-clutter a bit if possible so I'm not endlessly scrolling through it all, and the settings don't allow enough tweaking. It seems to me that File Explorer doesn't remember 'how we like it' too, between uses. I'd just like to open FE and see it doing what for example Linux Mint's Nemo does and to be consistent about it. Any chance of this? Thanks. --- news://freenews.netfront.net/ - complaints: --- |

HKCU\SOFTWARE\Classes\CLSID\{018D5C66-4533-4307-9B53-224DE2ED1FE6} In that key, there will be a DWORD value called... System.IsPinnedToNameSpaceTree It should say "0x00000001." Set it to "0x00000000" and One-drive disappears from that user's explorer pane. There are similar keys for Adobe Creative Cloud and others, just search on System.IsPinnedToNameSpaceTree, and it should turn up the others. -- Zag No one ever said on their deathbed, 'Gee, I wish I had spent more time alone with my computer.' ~Dan(i) Bunten |

I set both of them to "0." Don't know what I did right, but it works here. -- Zag No one ever said on their deathbed, 'Gee, I wish I had spent more time alone with my computer.' ~Dan(i) Bunten |

I went into the settings and control panel and turned off every thing that appeared to be associated with One Drive. |
