Let's attempt Frank Slootweg's freeware solution for backing up Android to Windows

Hi Frank, Happy Armistice Day! I wish to attempt your freeware solution for backing up Android to Windows. The reason I want to attempt it is: o To be able to back up Android to Windows more efficiently, and, o To better understand the solution you keep saying I have ignored, and, Not that it matters much, but I don't think I said that. o To document your solution so that _everyone_ can benefit (as always). Since I'm different than almost everyone here in that when I can do something, I make sure _everyone_ can do it too, this will have benefits to everyone - and not just me - especially if it has rsync-like capabilities to back up only those files which have changed during interim automated backups. What do I/we need to do, Frank, to run your proposed solution to: o Back up the entire visible file system (or select chunks), o Automatically, if possible (manually if not), o Using freeware which, if possible, only backs up changed files. For obvious reasons, I didn't see your post until now (when I was looking up some newsreader functionality in Thunderbird which gave me an unfiltered view). You apparently missed - or don't remember - my recent (October 22) response to you about what I use to backup my Android devices, so here's the news URL of my post. And yes, it ticks all your boxes. Have fun. news |
