System Restore Wiped Out
Hello
I had entries to my System Restore back to late August and up until yesterday. When I logged on this morning, I had a problem with a program and went to System Restore and ALL of the entries were completely gone. Is there ANY way to recover from this, or are those restore points completely gone into the Black Hole of cyberspace? Also, I have noted on the Question/Answer page a selection of "Notify me of replies". I have tried checking this option, but it never works. Could anyone explain how it works and how to use it? -- Thanks for any assistance or suggestions. Amber |

System Restore Wiped Out
Hi Amber,
1) Once restore points are lost, they are not recoverable. Why they are gone is another issue. 2) Stop using the web interface and use a newsreader. Here are instructions for using Outlook Express: http://user.westelcom.com/rogersr/setupoe.htm -- Best of Luck, Rick Rogers, aka "Nutcase" - Microsoft MVP http://mvp.support.microsoft.com/ Associate Expert - WindowsXP Expert Zone www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/expertzone Windows help - www.rickrogers.org "Amber" wrote in message news Hello I had entries to my System Restore back to late August and up until yesterday.
