I don't have a page 6; All that came with the DVD player is (1) page of specifications and instructions in sections and (1) sheet for set-up with diagrams. There is no user guide manual with (6) pages. However I'm still looking/reading the different sections and perhaps that's what you were referring to? Thanks, Robert Did you try this PDF file ? It's dvpsr510h.pdf . https://data2.manualslib.com/pdf2/23...033895d7e9ee6b "Controlling TVs with the remote You can control the sound level, input source, and power switch of your Sony TV with the supplied [DVD player] remote. If your TV is listed in the table below, set the appropriate manufacturer’s code. When you replace the batteries of the remote, set the appropriate code number again. " That implies the DVD remote stores the manufacturer number of the TV set it's talking to over CEC. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Consum...ronics_Control "Consumer Electronics Control (CEC) is a feature of HDMI designed to allow users to command and control devices connected through HDMI by using only one remote control. " "The bus is electrically identical to the AV.link protocol, but CEC adds a detailed higher-level message protocol. Single wire rather than two wires. 417 bit/s " That means it's about as slow as the very first modems. And it uses one wire inn the HDMI cable, to pass control messages along the cable. For most people (who don't enjoy figuring stuff out), the main advantage is the power button on one remote, turns multiple hardware toys on and off at the same time. So the DVD player and TV go on and off as a "team". That's if you program the remote with the appropriate code from the table on page 6 of the PDF. Make sure that's the correct PDF for your DVD player. Paul |

Hooking 230v to a 115v system is an easy mistake to make and we are aways mindful of that with our monitoring equipment. |

As I told the manager who didn't believe
me at first, 'you may have to pay for the damages but I have to live with them'. However, thanks to you guys and your patience with me, I found the right TV and size and DVD player, and found a new set of my Harmon Karon speakers for the computer on eBay and also the same stereo I had and got a new refrigerator out of the deal and my heater repaired but I wouldn't want to go through that again!@ I still have to send the tuner out for repair though. Many Thanks, Robert |
