My Hardware configuration is:
Gigabyte X38-DS5 Mainboard
Intel Core 2 Quad 2.66 Ghz 6 MB L2 Cache
Nvidia GeForce 9500 GT
Kingston 2*2 Gb ram
WD 1 TB HDD

My problem is, i have installed Windows XP Pro on my system and the drivers
but Windows Xp Pro dont recognises the CPU as is i'm goint to the device
manager and open the cpu section there writes 4 times "Intel CPU" On the
system prooerties General section writes "Intel Pentium III Xeon Processor
2,67 Ghz"
Is there any system compatibility with xp pro and the cpu or another
hardware?
Thanks...

I'm not sure I understand what the problem is. Is windows not reporting
four processors (the quad cores) at the clock speed listed?

Download and try the Intel Processor Identification Utility.

http://www.intel.com/support/process.../CS-014921.htm

If that gives the wrong answer, then there could be something
wrong with the processor itself.

*******

Does your Windows XP have a Service Pack installed ? What
Service Pack are you using. I'm using SP3 at the moment.

In Device Manager, mine shows two entries like this

Intel Core 2 Duo CPU E4700 @ 2.60GHz
Intel Core 2 Duo CPU E4700 @ 2.60GHz

In the Properties, the driver is listed as "intelppm.sys", but
that probably isn't what is identifying the processor itself.

Under Computer, mine says "ACPI Multiprocessor PC". What
does yours say ?

I have a Quad 2.66GHz and GA-X38-DQ6
Have not checked what Windows XP displays
but I have used CPUZ and CoreTemp.

CPUZ (CPUID) read the processor type and
clock speed correctly. CoreTemp will give your
more accurate CPU temperature as it read the
internal temp sensors built into the processor and
not the motherboard sensors.

Out of curiosity was brand and speed memory
are you using. Also are all the slots populated and
does your motherboard read the SPD info correctly?

CoreTemp: http://www.alcpu.com/CoreTemp/

You need to also install the motherboard chipset drivers These
drivers tend to tell XP how to "read" the motherboard components
correctly.

Your system reports correctly.

There should be 4 entries under processor, one for each of the 4 cores of
the CPU.

But it should /not/ be reported as a Intel Pentium III Xeon as. I
believe. the OP states. Let's hope the OP posts a follow-up with the
drivers that were loaded.

Just indeed make sure your motherboard drivers are correctly installed.
\On the second place is to download the quad driver from the amd website.
