Just to give you a heads up, today while
online I checked my bank account and noticed
a fee that was unaccountable. It turned
out to be from DigitalRiver.com (Avast)
but I didn't purchase anything.

I don't know important details, but my first guess out of ignorance, is
that the charge is based on a mistake/misunderstanding rather than
fraudulent; and that an important actor in the mistake/misunderstanding
might likely be you.

"Most of Avast users have no clue they signed up
for the auto-renewal.

It's just a small sentence ('Renewal: Automatic')
they agreed during the initial purchase as seen
in the screenshot below.
"

Hmmm. Clever. Slick even.
