Microsoft admits Windows 8 redesign a ‘bet on the future of computing’
" Jdr" wrote in message ... "Roland Schweiger" wrote in message ... only a few days ago i started testing Win8 CP (on a separate eSATA HDD) on my big desktop machine at home - an ASUS P6T deluxe mainboard, 6GB RAM, i7_920 processor. And all in all i am very very very disappointed. When I was forced into Win7, I was very upset - but after a few days I realized it was a giant step. Lets hope this works out the same way for Win8. The future of computing is definately NOT to be found in tablets and smartphones ... and Win8 looks like a teblet os that is somehow also capable to run on a desktop machine. Actually, tablet sales are on the rise and desktop sales are dropping. Personally I prefer a desktop, hate tablets, and I use small form laptops when away from home. |
