Old news, homey. You missed the point the problem is with Intel drivers, not Linux. Why is that SPI driver in the OS again ? Here's a hint. https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+s...x/+bug/1734147 "Regression Potential: Minimal, it's unlikely anyone is actually doing anything which requires this driver" === Ding! Ding! Ding! So here's the thing. Issue #1: Driver *does not* belong in a general release kernel. You wouldn't even have heard about this issue, if all the kernel builds had been configured properly. Issue #2: Driver logic is defective. Driver should *not* be ****ing with all the write-protect bits. Only board-certified Rocket Scientists are qualified to do that. If you don't know what a write-protect is for, *don't touch it* FFS. The driver writer should have had a heart-to-heart with a Coreboot developer, someone who has a clue. The thing is, anyone actually using the SPI driver for its intended purpose, already know the risks, and "brickage" is something they prepare for in advance. Issue #2 would not have bothered them in the least, because they've likely already had multiple brickage events, and have all the gear needed to fix it. Whereas people affected by Issue #1, aren't prepared at all for what happens. I know it's popular, when building kernels, to "tick all the boxes, you know, for test coverage". But you really have to be a little more selective than that. There are pages and pages and pages of options. And yes, you have to read the descriptions and then decide what to tick. Paul |

If that turns you on, then you are the wierd one. All men prefer young virgins. Old virgins are also acceptable, just rare. Ah, I see, you're one of those who's afraid that an experienced woman will rate you based on the quality of your, erm, technique. No, she won't. She'll rate you on the quality of your character. Yours would rate close to zero. While I can't speak for Brick, the reality is that _no_ honest man would find an "experienced" woman to be more attractive than a young virgin around the age of 18 or 19. Wow! Speak for yourself, or grow up. There are some really screwed up men here. Then you're a liar. You are an idiot child! Scary, that a grown man could think to say such a thing. There may be a few warped children like you, but certainly not everyone among grownup men. Any other of you grownup men out there find silver streaks in a women's hair to be sexy? Sure. One of the sexiest women I know is 81 years old. Doomed and Brick can't imagine that. But then neither has shown much evidence of having a functional imagination. Fantasising, yes, especially about 18 year old virgins. Imagining, no. I'm no longer married to an 18 year old virgin, dumbass. I am still with that wife, she aged as I did. That was part of the plan. Is she "used" now? Oh, the horror! Dude, I don't even have a name for the condition that you're exhibiting. It's called monogamy. It could also be called "righteousness" or just plain old "clean living." It's pretty messed up, though. Having a monogamous relationship for his whole life is called "living right," not "pretty messed up." It takes lack of morals and a twisted mind to see the reverse as true. |
