From the days of Norton Commander in Dos, having two windows side by
side was necessary.

AeroSnap does this pretty well. I think another icon on the title bar
that caused a window to take up half of the screen would be very
useful.

windows key and left or right arrow Depending on the direction you want to
move the active window Is quick to learn as is dragging to left or right by
the title bar
