Windows 7 and IE8 problem
I bought a new Windows 7 computer from HP. Windows 7 comes with IE8.
Turns out that most people have a problem problem with IE8: Whenever you open a new website from a shortcut, the new window opens in the "normal size" (partial screen), instead of in the "maximized" size which fills the whole screen. (I am not talking about a "full" screen.) This is a real nuisance because it means you have to click on the "maximize" field in the upper right hand corner of the screen. Judging by the number of posts on this subject, this is a common problem. The bigger problem is that nobody has a solution. (Re-sizing the screen and closing it, does not work.) HP has not solution, either. Has anyone come across a solution to this pain? Anyone in this group who is afflicted with the same problem? Thanks Walter |

Windows 7 and IE8 problem
Turns into crap chat if you dudes continue your childish behaviour.
So lets give Mr Walter E a solution: - Close all IE windows. - Rightclick on the IE icon and select Properties. - On the Shortcut tab you see Run: (about halfway) - Set this to Maximized. - Click "Apply" and close. Have fun...:-) On 24/12/2009 8:18, Walter E. wrote: I bought a new Windows 7 computer from HP. Windows 7 comes with IE8.
