Newsgroups, Windows live mail
When I unstalled WLM 2011 the 2009 version was gone. I downloaded the 2009
version and everytime I tried to install it I got a message saying I already had a newer version and would end. "Ken Blake" wrote in message ... Had to end up reinstalling my Win 7 and all the applications. Why did you have to do that? That was a lot of work, for almost no benefit. Yes, it's worse than the older version, but the older version wasn't much good either. You could have left it there and just not used it. There are many better choices you could have used instead. It's my understanding that Microsoft Live Mail will no longer provide or facilitate access to NNTP newsgroups, and that they are gradually eliminating access. With Windows 7, I can no longer get access to newsgroups even though I pay a monthly fee to a commercial service for newsgroup access. ( I have been able to get access on Thunderbird, but not on Windows Live Mail or Yahoo mail.) Snip Jim So who told you this? I am using Win.7 and WLM and it is working just great. Since you run Microsoft Windows Live Mail 14.0.8089.726, yes it does. If you upgrade to WLM 2011, it's going to be a mess! |
