You must assimilate. Resistance is futile.

I got a pop-up from my AVG antivirus today; it led me to a website and
told me to bookmark it in case AVG didn't work under Win10. It was a
link to download and install AVG.

Now then, there's been no mention of any possible conflict from the
Win10 advisor; and that makes me wonder how much more of my software may
have problems.

I don't think the info in the Advisor is of
high enough quality, to trust it on everything.

There's a bit of "conflict of interest" in the design.
I could tell you "Office xxxx is not compatible", when
for most things, it is compatible. Telling you that,
is supposed to make you want to run off and buy
new software.

I've noticed that one of several apps or CCleaner occasionally simply will
not launch... The solution is to uninstall it, then go to the website or
webstore, download and/or reinstall it. Voila! Don't know if this is from
conflicts or a bug or WTF... but the solution is simple enough.

HTH.

Whoops... meant to say I merely download CCleaner and install it right over
the top of the fubared instance... Only the apps I completely uninstall
first then go to the stowe and reinstall.

I feel inclined, Paul, to follow you and do without it.
So far my complaints are
1. Updates
2. No WMC
and now
3. God knows how many apps might not work.

I can live with 2 provided that my WinTV8 will work; 1 alone would stop
me, but 3 puts the nail in the coffin.
